About Cinematography Video

Tying the knot? We capture the moments you will cherish for a lifetime in pictures and videos. Every wedding is unique, and we would love to tell its story through our lenses.

Snap That™ has a cinematic video team that captures Weddings and Events across Durban, South Africa. We have worked in and around the KZN region (Hillcrest, Umhlanga, Durban North, La Lucia, La Mercy, Mount Edgecombe, etc.) down the South Coast (Amanzimtoti, Margate, Port Edward, Port Shepstone, etc.). Up to the North Coast (Ballito, Salt Rock, Shaka’s Rock, Zimbali, etc.), we’ve even worked in the Midlands. This travel adventure in capturing the best photos and video has taught us a lot and enriched us culturally!

We offer creative, entertaining, and storytelling videos. For Snap That™, it’s about telling your story with passion, creativity, and an understanding of you and your personalities. We steer clear of staging any moments.

Videography is the ability to take good videos, while Cinematography is the art of communicating a message through the videos.

The Difference Between Wedding / Event Cinematography & Videography: The Snap That™ Difference?

  • Cinematography is the talent of making a movie, and videography is about recording an event. Cinematography is more creative, and a big part of it is the art of storytelling.
  • The cinematographers are responsible for making technical and artistic decisions regarding the lighting, usage of different lenses and cameras for different scenes, exposure, locations, camera movement, etc. While a videographer generally points and shoots your event.
  • Videography generally one angle, while Cinematography is multiple angles.
  • Videographer videos are much longer in time, while Cinematographer videos are shorter, while only showing you the essential part more creatively.
  • Cinematography requires a lot more equipment, human resources, and time.
  • Videography is the art of capturing video to document an event and generally consists of one person, standing in the back or middle of your venue, shooting a long-form video with simple edits.
  • Sound plays a very important part in both Cinematography & Videography but is less used in Cinematography Videos.
