Professional Wedding Cinematography Durban — Cinematic Films That Last Forever
Your wedding day will be the most photographed, most planned, most anticipated day of your life. And it will be over in a flash. The vows you rehearsed a hundred times. The look on your partner’s face when you walked in. The toast that had the whole room in tears. These moments don’t repeat. They need to be captured — properly.
At SnapThat™, we’ve filmed weddings across KwaZulu-Natal since 2012. From intimate garden ceremonies in Hillcrest to grand ballroom receptions in Umhlanga — we know how to be in the right place at the right time, every time. Our wedding films aren’t recordings of events. They’re cinematic stories that you’ll watch again on your first anniversary, your tenth, and every year after.
The number one regret of couples who didn’t book a professional videographer? Not having a film of the day. The number one reaction of couples who did? “It’s even better than we imagined.”
What Makes SnapThat™ Wedding Cinematography Different?
Most videographers show up with one camera, stand at the back, and record. We show up with a team, multiple cameras, and a story in mind. Here’s what sets our wedding films apart:
- Multi-camera coverage as standard — We use 2 cameras on every wedding, so we capture both the bride walking down the aisle and the groom’s reaction simultaneously
- Professional sound — Primary audio from the sound desk feed, with wireless microphone options available to capture vows and speeches in crystal clarity
- Cinematic editing — Full colour grading, licensed music, and a narrative structure that makes your film feel like a feature, not a recording
- KZN-wide coverage — We travel across Durban, the North Coast, South Coast and the Midlands. Travel fees may apply for venues outside greater Durban
- 13 years of wedding experience — We’ve seen the unexpected happen at venues across KZN. We anticipate it, adapt quickly, and never miss what matters

Areas We Cover for Wedding Cinematography
SnapThat™ is based in Westville, Durban, and we regularly travel across all of KZN for weddings — including Umhlanga, Hillcrest, Ballito, Zimbali, Shaka’s Rock, Amanzimtoti, the South Coast, the Midlands, and beyond. Travel fees may apply for venues more than 60km from Durban central — we’ll confirm this upfront in your quote.
What You Gain When You Book Wedding Cinematography
You gain: A cinematic wedding film that captures the emotion, the laughter, and the love of your day in a way that photographs simply cannot — something you’ll treasure for the rest of your lives.
You avoid: The regret of having no video of your wedding day, or worse — a flat, unedited recording that does no justice to how the day actually felt.
The cost of waiting: Durban’s best wedding cinematographers book up months in advance — especially for spring and summer Saturdays. Your date isn’t guaranteed until it’s confirmed.
Brides who booked SnapThat™ for their Durban and KZN weddings consistently tell us the same thing: “It’s the one thing we’re most glad we didn’t compromise on.” We handle everything with care, professionalism, and a genuine passion for storytelling. Your wedding film is in safe hands.
Every week you wait is another week closer to your date filling up. The next step is simple: fill in the enquiry form below, and we’ll come back to you with availability, package options, and a personalised quote. No pressure, no obligation — just a clear answer on what’s possible for your day.
Book Your Wedding Cinematography in Durban
Tell us about your wedding — date, venue, and what you’re envisioning — and we’ll get back to you within one business day with availability and a tailored quote.
How far in advance should I book wedding cinematography?
We recommend booking 3–6 months in advance for weddings, and earlier for peak season dates (September–December and public holiday weekends). Once your date is confirmed and a deposit is paid, your slot is secured. Popular Saturdays in Durban and along the KZN coast fill up quickly.
What is the difference between a highlight reel and a full wedding film?
A highlight reel is a 3–5 minute cinematic summary of the most emotional and beautiful moments from your day — perfect for sharing online and rewatching often. A full wedding film is a longer, more comprehensive edit that includes extended ceremony coverage, speeches, and reception moments in fuller detail. Both are professionally edited and colour-graded.
Do you travel to venues outside Durban for weddings?
Yes. We regularly cover weddings across all of KwaZulu-Natal — including the North Coast (Ballito, Zimbali, Salt Rock), the South Coast (Amanzimtoti, Margate, Port Shepstone), Hillcrest, the Midlands, and beyond. Travel fees apply for venues outside the greater Durban area and will be confirmed in your quote.
Can I provide a song list for my wedding film?
Absolutely — we welcome song suggestions and will do our best to accommodate your preferences. All music used in films intended for online sharing must be licensed. We have access to a library of licensed tracks, and we discuss your music vision during your pre-wedding consultation.
What happens if it rains or the venue is very dark?
KZN weather can be unpredictable — we know this well. Our team uses professional cinema-grade cameras that perform exceptionally in low-light environments, and we carry additional lighting equipment for indoor or evening coverage. Rain or shine, we’ve been trained to adapt without missing a single moment.
